I have been very fortunate in having opportunity to visit Moscow regularly in the last few years, and during that time have developed a deep interest in Russia, its history and future and, most significantly, the people there. I have gained some very good friends during my trips and have learned much about the nature of people and of friendship.

Igor Shpilenok is a Russian nature photographer. He provides a wonderful gallery of photographs of the landscape and scenery of Russia.

His subjects ranged from the medieval churches and monasteries of old Russia, to the railroads and factories of an emerging industrial power, to the daily life and work of Russia's diverse population.
